Description

The Property
Belvedere Cottage is an attractive period residence located centrally in the sought after Suffolk village of Wenhaston and would suit well as either as a full time home or comfortable holiday retreat - the property is currently a successful holiday let. The present owners have improved and updated the property which has particularly spacious ground floor accommodation and a high specification self contained annexe at the rear. At the front of the property an entrance lobby leads into the sitting room which has a working fireplace and this leads through to the fitted kitchen and dining area - beyond this at the rear of the property is a light and spacious garden room which has double doors onto the rear patio. There are two bedrooms on the first floor with the main bedroom having attractive views over the Blyth valley. At the rear of the property is a separate annexe - heated and insulated which provides a spacious double bedroom with en suite - ideal for guests or teenagers!

Outside
At the front of Belvedere Cottage is a pretty front garden laid to brick and slate chippings with shrubs. Behind the property is a raised patio with surrounding shrubs and which gives access to the annexe. The main gardens are private and unoverlooked and laid mainly to lawn with shrubs and flowers and ideal spots for sitting out.

Location
Wenhaston is a pretty, vibrant village with a good sense of community and history. There are a number of amenities and facilities including a post office shop, village hall and cafe and primary school as well as a pub at either end of the village - The Star and the Queen’s Head. More extensive shopping facilities can be found at the market town of Halesworth (3 miles) and the historic Cathedral city of Norwich is about 25 miles to the north. Wenhaston is well located for striking out at the attractions of the East Suffolk Heritage Coast which include many coastal walks, golfing and sailing in Southwold, and for bird watchers there is the RSPB sanctuary at Minsmere. Aldeburgh to the south is host to the internationally famous music festival with a programme of year-round productions which centre on the town and the Snape Maltings complex.
