More extensive shopping facilities can be found at the market town of Halesworth (3 miles) and the historic Cathedral city of Norwich is about 25 miles to the north. Wenhaston is well located for striking out at the attractions of the East Suffolk Heritage Coast which include many coastal walks, golfing and sailing in Southwold, and for bird watchers there is the RSPB sanctuary at Minsmere. Aldeburgh to the south is host to the internationally famous music festival with a programme of year-round productions which centre on the town and the Snape Maltings complex.
